How do you think that the right of young people to get information about sexuality and sexual health is materialized today?
There is too much variance between schools, and education is not necessarily as high-quality as it should be. Yet the biggest differences are between families. How is sexuality dealt with, what kind of role models are given and how openly sexuality is discussed.
Is sexuality education still required these days, isn't all the information available online?
Sexuality education is most definitely needed. It should be seen as a more comprehensive whole, consisting also self-knowledge, emotions and respect of others. It is great that internet provides additional information, but it should be made sure that the information is not biased and would be based on relevant facts.
What is the significance of sexual education on a global scale?
Comprehensive sexuality education is regrettably limited worldwide. Promoting sexual health is essential, and is in its simplest form securing an access to contraception. Another important matter are women's rights. Here we come to an important part of comprehensive sexuality education, emotions and acknowledging others. It is crucial to spread the information about integrity and the fact that everyone has the right to make decisions concerning their own body.
